On the north side of your stay is the city of Nijmegen.
The historic town of Nijmegen, the oldest city in the Netherlands with its pleasant center and shoppingstreets, is only 10 kilometers away. The Radboud University Nijmegen and the hospital UMC St Radboud and the CWZ are attainable by car or bus

On the West side of your stay you can cycle towards the more flat areas of fens of Hatert and Overasselt
On the South side are the villages Mook and Plasmolen with Mookerheide, St. Jansberg and Mookerplas.
On the east side is the hilly landscape of Groesbeek and Berg en Dal with Zevenheuvelenweg and several nationally known museums. The villages of Malden, Groesbeek and Plasmolen count several restaurants and nice pubs.
Bed & Breakfast "Aan de bagijnstraat" is an excellent base for hiking, cycling, mountain biking and horse riding. See for more under the heading Nature reserves.
